The Kiwanis Club of St. Marys will celebrate its 100th anniversary Saturday with a parade and its 43rd Rock Shrimp Festival.
The Rock Shrimp Festival is one of the St. Marys signature events and it has many of them that draw big crowds.
Saturday’s festival will begin at 7:30 a.m. with 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer races followed by a 1-mile kids’ fun run at 8:30 a.m.
The arts and crafts and food vendors downtown will open at 9 a.m. and remain open until 6 p.m. and the parade will step off down Osborne Street at 10 a.m.
Rock shrimp dinners will be served from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., and there will be free entertainment and demonstrations all day.
The dinners are $10 in advance and $12 on festival day and include the namesake shrimp, fried fish, slaw and hush puppies. Advance tickets are available at the St. Marys Welcome Center.
The Kiwanis Club uses proceeds from the festival to support its youth programs in Camden County.
